WWDC07 Campus Bash?

Or is Infinite Loop too busy to party?

Apple confirmed that Steve will kick off WWDC07 with a keynote address, which is pretty much what we all expected, but nice to have it confirmed. Whether he’ll be on stage for the whole keynote or share the limelight with a host of other presenters — as happened at WWDC06 — remains to be seen.

The more startling news, however, is that the regular Campus Bash has been relocated from the Apple’s headquarters at Infinite Loop to a more generic location of ’downtown San Francisco’. While the trip down to Cupertino to visit the mothership is not necessarily the highlight of WWDC (that honor, of course, goes to Stump the Experts) the change of venue will be seen as a disappointment to many.

Of course, it does mean that the line at the Apple Company Store won’t be quite so long…
