GlasMug and WWDC07

Or how to be in two places at once...

GlasMug are holding their June meeting on Tuesday 12 June 2007 from 19:00 to 21:00 at Scotsys on Great Western Road, Glasgow. The highlight of the evening will be ooh-ing and aah-ing over the announcements from WWDC07‘s Stevenote.

I'll not be at the GlasMug meeting since I'll actually be at WWDC07 where, by the miracle of iChat, I might be able to watch everyone at the GlasMug meeting watching the QuickTime video of the Stevenote that I would have been at the day before.

GlasMug also has a new website, thanks to the incredibly talented GlasMug web-team of which I just happen to be the co-ordinator. Those of you with pixel-precise eyes and a keen sense of Mac history and trivia will no doubt have instantly spotted that the blue box on the site is 512 x 342 pixels in size, as a tribute to the screen resolution of the original Mac. Those of you with an eye towards usability and the question of 'what happens when there's more text than fits the box' will be relieved to know that scrollbars will be making an appearance in the next iteration of the site!
